Meet Shawn & Brandon
A small beginning.
A lasting obsession.
The first experiments happened at home, roasting tiny batches in an air popcorn popper. In February 2015 they bought a six-pound air roaster and began sharing coffee beyond family and friends. Aerís air-roasted from 2015 through April 2023, then upgraded to a 6 kg Mill City drum roaster.
Aerís takes its name from the Latin word associated with air—a nod to those first years, not how we roast today.

Since April 2023 we roast on a 6 kg Mill City drum. Aerís sells single-origin bags rather than retail blends. Washed Central and South American coffees lean toward medium; fruit-forward, more intensively processed lots are roasted lighter to express their character.
